Simona Parrinello premiered music from her debut album “Con Alma” live Monday 18 April 2016, at the “Teatro Out Off “ in Milan. Hot on the heals of the Milan launch Simona and her band traveled to Germany to perform at Europe’s largest Jazz trade show and festival “jazzahead!” in Bremen.
Con Alma was released in February of 2016 and has gained rave reviews. The album features a mix of original material along with some amazing arrangements of the Strayhorn compositions “Star Crossed Lovers” and “A Flower is a Lovesome Thing” as well as The Gillispie classic (and title track) “Con Alma”.Peter McLaren from Jazz In Europe wrote:
