Amit Friedman will return to Europe this April for dates in Germany, France and the Netherlands. Joining Amit for the concerts in Germany and The Netherlands are Eyal Lovett: piano, Mathias Højgaard Jensen: bass and Aidan Lowe: drums. For the Paris date Amit will be joined by Jeremy Hababou: Piano, Yoni Zelnik: Bass and Lukmil Perez: drums.
Amit Friedman is among the leading musicians in the Israeli jazz scene. Friedman’s music is rooted in the jazz tradition and incorporates elements of world music and especially Middle Eastern music. His compositions, blend sophistication with simplicity and communicate with a wide range of audiences.
“Long Way To Go” is Amit’s second album as a leader and continues in the musical vein of it’s predecessor “Sunrise”. Featuring thirteen original compositions, Long Way To Go further displays his talent not only as a saxophonist but also as a composer. Peter McLaren of Jazz In Europe stated, “With this album, Amit Friedman has delivered a release that shows an artist and composer at the top of his game”.
